Sales conditions (Europe and rest of the world)

1. Price list
End user price list. For distributor price, the applicable discount should be deducted. Prices are EXW NORMAX Lda., Rua Santa Isabel, 17 - 2430-475 Marinha Grande - Portugal. Prices valid until: See Quotation. We reserve the right to adjust the price in case of unforeseen increases in raw materials and/or transports.

2. Minimum of orders
Minimum order value of EUR. 500,00, freight cost excluded, required for Europe. For the rest of the world, a minimum order value of 1,000 EUR/USD, freight cost excluded, is required. Orders below these amounts will have a handling fee of EUR. 50,00.

3. Added charges, when applicable
Certificate of origin signed by our local Chamber of Commerce: EUR. 100,00. Legalisation of invoice by our local Chamber of Commerce: EUR. 150,00 /each invoice. Legalisation of any other document at any Embassy or Consulate, or Apostille Convention: According to the charges incurred by NORMAX, Lda. Normax issues its fiscal and packaging documents electronically, which will be sent by email to the customer in pdf format. The original documents will be sent with the goods. If sending via express carrier is requested, an additional fee of EUR. 80,00 (for European countries) or EUR. 120,00 (for the rest of the world) will apply. In case of non-pickup of the order(s) after a period of 30 days (after notification of the availability of the order(s) for pick up), Normax reserves the right to charge the daily fee of EUR. 5,00 for the storage service.

4. Quotation requests and order confirmation
We will validate only quotations or proforma invoice requests made in writing and when including our code references & quantities.

5. Delivery dates and Delivery amounts
A minimum order quantity (MOQ) may be required (to be informed at the moment of the quotation) for the products classified as Stock Type C and Custom-made Products (CD). For production reasons, a variation of 15% in relation to the ordered quantity is permissible and it shall be accepted and paid by the customer. We will endeavour to adhere to stipulated delivery deadlines. However, due to the hazards and peculiar features of glass processing, delivery deadlines will not be binding unless expressly agreed otherwise. Our delivery times are subject to our suppliers delivering the correct products to us on time. We undertake to inform the Customer of any unavailability of any of our products without undue delay. In the absence of a special request or prior agreement, we are able to provide partial deliveries.

6. Packaging
Standard cardboard boxes. The use of wooden pallets will have an additional cost of EUR. 10,00. The use of wooden pallet covered with cardboard box (for pallets up to 1,5 m high, only) in addition to standard packing will be charged at EUR. 16,00 per pallet.

7. Credit and payment terms
Unless otherwise agreed, for orders that do not exceed EUR. 10.000,00, payment of 100% of the order value shall be made before shipment of the goods. For orders equal to or exceeding EUR. 10,000, a down payment of 30% of the total order value shall be made by bank transfer at order confirmation date. The remaining 70% shall be paid when goods are ready to be shipped. We expect to receive this last payment within 7 days after the goods are ready to be shipped; the failure to comply, will imply the cancellation of the order. If a cancellation of order should occur, we reserve the right to keep the down payment to cover our expenses. Payments by Letter of Credit or Cash Against Documents are accepted only for orders exceeding EUR./USD 10.000,00, freight charges excluded. Payment by letter of credit of orders below EUR./USD 10.000,00 will be subject to a handling fee of EUR. 725,00. When partial deliveries are accepted, due date is calculated when each shipment is made and not when the complete order is shipped.

8. Broken, missing or non-accepted products at goods reception
We shall not be liable for damage to deliveries through the breakage of glass during transit (“Breakages”) where the cause of the damage arises after we have delivered the goods to the carrier. In such cases any claim for Breakages must be made against the carrier or under the policy of transit insurance. Upon the receipt of the goods, even if apparently there are no damages, ALWAYS place the following note on the carrier delivery documents: "subject to future evaluation". Any situation should be reported immediately to the transport company, with the description of the incident. In addition, a photo of the pallet/packaging before opening is required (even if there are no apparent damages to the packaging), as well as of the damaged goods. If these procedures are not complied, Normax reserves the right not to assume the damages resulting from a poor transport.

9. Return of goods
The return of goods shall not be accepted if not previously approved by our services. The freight charges of the returned goods will be at the customer's expense, except if the error or defect is Normax responsibility. In this case, we will only accept shipments made by our forwarders. Special/Customised products, according to customer's specifications, cannot be returned. The return of goods requires our express consent in writing. The goods to be returned must be properly packaged for safe transportation in their original packaging and labelling. If these conditions are not respected, the refund will not be accepted.

10. Complaints
Accepted only in a stated period of 15 days after the receipt of merchandise and when presented in writing.
